The IEEE IST Student Branch is an autonomous associative group from Instituto Superior Técnico, which branches from the global organization IEEE, and focus in developing innovative initiatives and events targeting fields that are missing from the academic education, ranging from technical skills’ teaching, to providing the best opportunities for internships.
IEEE IST Student Branch aims to developed a stimulating environment for the growth of all the creative minds of Instituto Superior Técnico, independently from the field in which their background lies. By promoting creative thinking and focusing its energy in providing the best opportunities for all the community, IEEE IST sets its purpose in shaping the next generation in the best way possible.
Comprising more the 60 members, which have the passion to share their knowledge and inspire the future generations, our team is divided in 3 Society Chapters – Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), Instrumentation and Automation Society (IAS) and Computer Society (CS), and also in an Affinity Group Chapter – Womens in Engineering (WiE).
